Aphasia Communication Groups

What are Aphasia Communication Groups?

The Aphasia Communication Groups offer Adler programming on a smaller scale than our full-service programs in Maywood, West Orange, and Toms River.

Participants learn effective communication strategies, make new social connections with other people who also have aphasia, and build their confidence and self-esteem. The Aphasia Communication Groups meet twice a month for two hours per session, and are facilitated by Adler-trained Speech Language Pathologists.

Join a Group Near You

Groups are available throughout New Jersey and offer rolling admission so a person with aphasia may join a group at any time.

Pre-registration is required. To register for the Aphasia Communication Group in Maywood, contact Karen Castka at 201-368-8585 or email kcastka@adleraphasiacenter.org. To register for an Aphasia Communication Group in all other locations, contact Gretchen Szabo at 551-287-2238 or email gszabo@adleraphasiacenter.org.
