Mike and Elaine Adler founded the Adler Aphasia Center in 2003 after Mike suffered a stroke that left him with aphasia.

While there were many speech therapy options in the area, no program could help him adjust to living with aphasia. The Adlers researched speech pathology clinics around the world and uncovered several unique programs where people touched by aphasia were learning new ways to communicate. From there, the Center was born.

Life Participation Approach to Aphasia

The Adler Aphasia Center is the only long-term aphasia treatment center of its kind in New Jersey offering the Life Participation Approach to Aphasia.

This program helps people with aphasia regain conversational skills and re-engage in life.
